Welcome to 'Modeling 101’--An immersive workshop led by experienced professionals of the Delaware Valley Art Models (DVAM) community.  'Modeling 101' is the perfect platform to both elevate your understanding of this niche profession and strengthen your craft.

Your beginner’s guide (or professional’s refresher!) to develop essential tools for enhancing your confidence on or off the dais, each session promises to equip you with in-depth knowledge about this form of performance art.

While both dates include live modeling and lecture, each session will feature a unique itinerary:

• Session I: ‘So, You Want to Be an Art Model' - (4/04) This first session will focus on both the prospective and professional art model. Witness a live model in action and expect to leave with a comprehensive understanding of the art modeling field. From the fundamentals of posing to the intricacies of the industry, this session will include terminology, professionalism, and safety measures.

• Session II: ‘The Art Model’s Experience from Then to Now’ - (4/11) This session will focus on the artist-model relationship while providing a brief history of art modeling. Learn about new technology evolving within the art world (i.e, Zoom and Patreon), while the model performs examples of how to stage and light yourself to create your own content.
