Are you known for saying, I can't draw a straight line? Have you looked at art and thought, I wish I could do that? Well, you can! This workshop helps students discover their hidden artistic talents through guided exercises that introduce a wide range of techniques and concepts. You will get an introduction to materials such as ink, pencil, charcoal, collage, oil pastel and acrylic paint.
No prior art experience is necessary!

Danielle Cartier
Danielle Cartier is an artist known for large-scale murals and mixed media paintings that incorporate reconstructed materials, ephemera, and layered printmaking and painting processes. Born and raised in Northern California, she earned a BFA from Sonoma State University (2014) and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Practice from the University of Pennsylvania (2017). Her work has been exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the United States. Cartier has taught studio art at numerous universities and community art centers and currently teaches at Rowan University, Stockton University, Fleisher Art Memorial, and Perkins Center for the Arts. Since 2017, she has completed over fifty grant-funded public murals throughout South Jersey and continues to develop new public art projects. In 2024, she opened DC Gallery & Studio, a female artist-owned gallery and studio in the Glasstown Arts District of Millville, New Jersey.
