Stained Glass
Adult Class | FULL
This stained glass class will be for beginning and advanced students. Learners will be encouraged to bring ideas for small two and three dimensional projects. Pre-made designs will also be available. Examples of projects include mirror frames, votive candle holders, jewelry, sculptural objects and traditional stained glass. Projects can include objects that will withstand the chemicals and heat involved in the process. This can be discussed at the beginning of class. Glass cutting and assembly techniques will be demonstrated and practiced resulting in a finished project. Glass concepts and historical information will be discussed throughout. All levels welcome! Required tools and materials:
Fleisher's adult students are expected to purchase their own materials. However, what you need will depend on your specific project. Some supplies & glass will be provided as part of the studio & glass fee. Your instructor will discuss materials with you on the first day of class and advise you about what you need based on your ideas and sketches. Some materials used in the process are listed below for reference, but it is not necessary to purchase anything in advance of your first-class session.
