Stained Glass
Adult Class | FULL
This stained glass class will be for beginning and advanced students. Learner's will be encouraged to bring ideas for small two and three dimensional projects and pre-made designs can also be provided. Examples include mirror frames, votive candle holders, jewelry, and sculptural objects all of which can include ceramic and metal items other that could be included in the project. Glass cutting and assembly techniques will be demonstrated and practiced resulting in a finished project. Glass concepts and historical information will be discussed throughout. All levels welcome! What you will learn:
1. Basic sheet glass handling techniques
2. Basic copper foil soldering techniques
Bring the following to the first day of class:
• A Pencil
• A note or sketch book
• Initial ideas and inspiration for what you would like to make.
Required tools and materials:
Fleisher's adult students are expected to purchase their own materials. However, what you need will depend on your specific project. Some supplies & glass will be provided as part of the studio & glass fee. Your instructor will discuss materials with you on the first day of class and advise you about what you need based on your ideas and sketches. Some materials used in the process are listed below for reference, but it is not necessary to purchase anything in advance of your first-class session.

• Patinas and patina brushes
