Small Frame Weaving (five sessions)

Adult Class | Available

Jump into the exciting world of fiber arts weaving! In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own small frame loom and design a woven wall hanging. You will explore a variety of different weaving techniques, and experiment with color, pattern and texture to create a one-of-a-kind work of fiber art.

What you will learn:
1. A variety of different weaving techniques
2. How to work with different yarns, colors and patterns
3. How to weave a wall hanging from start to finish

Please note: Class will not meet on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day .

  • For the first class bring these supplies:

    • Stretcher bars to make a 12" x 15" frame loom:
    - 2-12”
    - 2-15”
    • Yarn or fabric strips (If you are going to buy yarn wait until after the first class so we can discuss what to get). I will have some yarn to use to get started with. If you already have yarn at home bring whatever you have!
    • Hammer
    • Ear plugs (to protect your ears when we are all hammering at the same time)
    • Scissors
    • Ruler
    • Sharpie
    • Pencil
    • Small 1 inch nails (you will need a lot so please buy the nails in the link or something similar)
