Open Studio provides access to self-directed students interested in exploring ceramics in a shared space. Participants must have technical proficiency, be capable of working independently and adhere to the studio firing schedule. Note that this is a monitored open studio and not an instructed class.

Open Studio Hours are subject to change depending on studio availability. Hours are:

Monday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

First time open studio users must participate in an orientation. An orientation for this session will on the first day at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 1. Orientation will be scheduled and shared with students in advance of the term starting. If you need to schedule a separate orientation, contact Chris Archer at carcher@fleisher.org.

Firing Schedule: All work should be placed on the bisque firing shelf by Monday, December 9, and on the glaze firing shelf by Monday, December 16 to guarantee it will be fired and ready for pick up by Friday, December 20. Students can continue to drop off work for glaze firing until Friday, December 20, but will only be available for pick up during operational hours starting January 2025.
