This class brings together a quartet of films from four different continents whose humor does not get lost in translation. From light and whimsical to the sharpest of satire, these stylish modern comedies wrestle with the complexity of modern life and find laughs in the process. We'll cover the careers and perspectives of the filmmakers, trends in contemporary comedy, the director's visual styles and discuss the films' ramifications in post-screening discussion.
