Prized by collectors and artists since the Middle Ages, miniature books challenge you to scale down every element of bookmaking, from materials and tools to image and text. In these three sessions you’ll make several small volumes in a variety of bindings using minimal materials to produce tiny treasures that will delight. No experience necessary.

What you will learn:
1. Different binding styles that work for smaller formats
2. General bookbinding techniques
3. Sources for materials, tools, and instructional guidance for future learning

    • Metal ruler
    • Triangle
    • Scissors
    • Olfa cutting knife or X-acto with extra blades
    • Bone folder
    • Awl or thin needle tool (as used for clay)
    • Self-healing Cutting Mat
    • Binder Clips - At least 2 medium sized

    • Decorative paper
