An important skill for modern illustrators is the ability to digitally manipulate and enhance their illustrations. This workshop will provide a strong foundation for illustrators who want to embrace the possibilities of working digitally. Focusing on Adobe Photoshop, participants will learn skills and techniques for photo manipulation and collage. Combine pictures and text to make your own graphics and create internet ready images. Learn the basics of scanning and formatting your art into files ready to be enhanced and finished digitally. Students will make drawings meant to be finished on the computer and showcased for the computer screen. They will learn different techniques in coloring including adding textures, shading, and other digital only manipulations.
What you will learn:
1. Basic Photoshop commands and tools
2. Scanning and importing files into Photoshop
3. Sizing the digital canvas, working in with layers
4. Digital coloring, textures, and choosing color palates
5. Making GIFs with your illustrations
