In this workshop, we'll be learning about Nerikomi, a traditional Japanese technique of layering different clay bodies. This technique offers many surface options, and we will be going over repetitive patterns (i.e. checkered) and agate structures (i.e. marbled). We will be working with dark and light clay bodies and you all can expect to make a few small bowls or plates. We'll fire your work and it'll be ready for pick up within two weeks of your workshop in the Ceramics Studio. Please review our Operating Hours for studio access.
