Have you wanted to work with models but haven't yet? Have you taken a model based class and wondered about the model's experience? Have you been working with models for years, maybe even teaching, but always wondered about the role of a model and the history of figure modeling?

In this class we will be exploring the relationship between model and artists using lighting, positioning, and attitude. We will discuss traditions and think innovatively about how to work collaboratively with models in the studio and classroom and make many in-the-moment explorations (sketches, notes, schemas, etc.) as we go.
