Curious about wheel throwing? This is your chance to try it out and have fun.

This course is ideal for folks with zero experience. You will learn some basic ceramic techniques of throwing to create cups and bowls. We will focus on learning to center the clay and creating some small pottery.

What you will learn:
1. Wedging clay
2. Centering clay on the wheel
3. Basic thrown forms
4. Introduction to glazes

  • Start the term with these supplies:

  • • Your first bag of clay is included in your registration - no outside clay is permitted. Additional clay can be purchased at the front desk.
  • • Basic clay tool kit (rib, cut off wire, pin tool, small sponge, loop trimming tool)
  • • Cloth hand towel and apron
