Explore the process of painting the figure. Learn from demonstrations on color mixing, application techniques, examples of figure studies, and have ample time to experiment. We will use soft pastels, oil pastels, and oil sticks, and incorporate solvents for some techniques. An overview of anatomy will help you consider the figure holistically, and render more lifelike portraits. We will work with live models.

What you will learn:
1. Understand basic anatomy
2. Experiment with soft pastels, oil pastels and oil sticks
3. Paint from observation
4. Learn thumbnail drawings
