In this course, students will be introduced to collage making using both traditional and contemporary techniques. Taking inspiration from reference material, observation, and imagination students will explore storytelling using paper as their primary medium. Principles taught in this course are composition, shape, and color. This interactive class is structured for all skill levels

What You Will Learn in This Course:

- Create a collage inspired by pattern and design
- Create a composition using discarded 2-D materials
- Create a scenic composition

  • This is an in-person class which will take place in our building with strict social distancing protocols and reduced student capacity. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.
  • • Chipboard or Heavyweight paper 18 in. x 24 in.
    • Paper materials and other mediums used to make collage is open to individual preference
    Pencil (or any marking making utensil)
    • Sketchbook
    • Construction paper (multi-color).
    • Masking tape (multiple widths recommended)
    • Paper materials and other 2-d materials used to make collage is open to individual preference
    • Spray adhesive
    • Matte medium
    • Glue
