This workshop focuses on camera functions at sunset and in low light. We will travel to several locations in the Philly area looking for interesting compositions and lighting environments. We can make water look like mist and the clouds a blur while the rest of the image is in sharp focus.

We will view the work of artists who use long exposures and review the work you shoot in this class. All students must have manual settings on their camera and have a tripod. A shutter release is highly suggested.

Please note: This is a 4-session workshop. Class will not meet on Thursday, July 14.

  • This is an in-person class which will take place in our building with strict social distancing protocols and reduced student capacity. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.
  • FOR THE FIRST CLASS BRING THESE SUPPLIES:
  • - Digital Camera (All digital cameras are welcome: compact point-and-shoot, the new mirrorless cameras, and SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras)
  • - Memory card for digital camera
  • - Portable hard drive for securing and saving digital files
  • - Tripod (not required, but suggested)
