"Summertime is always the best of what might be." —Charles Bowden

Four films from four master directors from four different countries, each expressing the unique joys and extended possibilities that come with summer. The workshop will examine the careers and concerns of the filmmakers involved, as well as compare their visual approaches to summoning that season that haunts our memories.

STILL WALKING (2008, dir. Hirokazu Kore-eda, Japan)

Please note: This is a 4-session workshop. Fleisher will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day, and class will conclude on Monday, July 25.
