Open Studio Hours are subject to change depending on studio availability. Winter hours are: Monday: 1pm - 4pm Tuesday: 1pm - 4pm, 6:30pm - 9:30pm Wednesday: 1pm - 4pm Thursday: 1pm - 4 pm Friday: 9am - 2pm Open Studio provides access to self-directed students interested in exploring ceramics in a shared space. Participants must have technical proficiency, be capable of working independently and adhere to the studio firing schedule. Note that this is a monitored open studio and not an instructed class. Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership.

  • First time open studio users must register and attend an orientation in order to be eligible for open studio. Returning student are also encouraged to refresh their understanding of the studio space and studio equipment. There is no fee for the orientation.
  • Orientation is held on the first Tuesday evening of the term or by appointment with the Studio Technician.

  • This is an in-person class which will take place in our building with strict social distancing protocols and reduced student capacity. Proof of vaccination is required, and masks must be worn at all times. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.
  • • You are responsible for purchasing your own clay. Clay can be purchased online or at Fleisher's front desk.
  • • Bring any tools or materials that you prefer to use.

  • The Studio Fee covers glazes and firing.
