Ink, watercolor, gouache: these three mediums are often linked together. How are they different? In this online class you will learn to identify the properties of these exciting water-based mediums and how to combine them. By making your own color charts, abstract design explorations, and traditional still life paintings you will develop a strong understanding of color mixing and color strategies. Painting techniques including glazing, lifting, masking and wet into wet will be thoroughly investigated.

What will you learn in this workshop?

1 Gain confidence in working with mixed water-based mediums
2 A broader understanding of color mixing
3 Strengthen your painting skills and brushwork
4 Develop awareness of design and composition through color
