Join fellow nature lovers and creative art makers to explore the wild wooded acres and open meadows of South Philadelphia at FDR Park. Become inspired by the land, meandering waterways, and native plant life to create temporal artworks with natural materials. Participants will be introduced to artists whose work with nature celebrates the beauty of the land as well as those who address environmental issues and climate change. The course will begin with instructor-led assignments and activities that will encourage dialogue and generate ideas. Each student will have ample time and support to develop individual site-responsive works of art that can interact with the land, the water, or the sky.
