Release your creative spirit while learning how to assemble found objects and repurposed jewelry parts to make one of a kind wearable art. This class will focus on different ways to connect with wire wrapping, connecting with jump rings, chaining, and beading techniques. We will be looking at different assemblage artists and how they problem solve while coming up with ways of problem-solving for your one of a kind pieces. All materials and tools will be provided. The class is designed for beginners.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE

1. Learn how to problem solve using the tools and materials available.
2. Gain an understanding of professional cold connections of components.
3. Talk about layout and composition of a piece.
4. Discuss the ethical ideas behind repurposing and how other artists use this idea in their work.

  • This is an in-person class which will take place in our Jewelry Studio with strict social distancing protocols and a maximum of 6 students in the space. Students will be required to wear masks for the entire duration of the class. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.
