Anatomy is the grammar of the human body. In this online class, students will learn the language and form used to describe the figure starting from the bones and ending with the muscles. Through demonstrations and lectures, we will discover how medical and artistic approaches to anatomy can benefit us as artists to draw from memory and invent lighting situations accurately.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS CLASS
1. Students will have a greater fluency in the functions and forms of bones and muscles of the human body
2. Students will learn the history and importance of the study of anatomy
3. Students will understand how to extrapolate information from surface detail for greater accuracy in rendering the figure
