Open Studio Hours are subject to change depending on studio availability.
Current hours as scheduled are:
• Monday - Friday: 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm
• Wednesday: 6 - 9pm

Open Studio provides access to self-directed students interested in exploring ceramics in a shared space. Participants must have technical proficiency, be capable of working independently, and adhere to the studio firing schedule. Note that this is a monitored open studio and not an instructed class.

Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership.

  • First time open studio users must register and attend an orientation in order to be eligible for open studio. Returning student are also encouraged to refresh their understanding of the studio space and studio equipment. There is no fee for the orientation.
  • Orientation is held on the first Tuesday evening of the term or by appointment with the Studio Technician.

  • Open Studios will take place on Fleisher's campus and will follow strict social distancing protocol. Students will have to sign up for time slots each week to reserve their spot and check-in at the front desk before entering the studio. A link to the signup page will be sent via email before the term begins. Wearing a mask and staying 6 feet apart will be required during all Open Studio hours. The studios will be cleaned and disinfected daily. Students will also need to sign a waiver during their first visit to Open Studio hours.
  • • You are responsible for purchasing your own clay.
  • • Bring any tools or materials that you prefer to use.

  • The Studio Fee covers glazes and firing.
