Dibujo Básico es un curso de introducción en el arte del dibujo. La clase se ofrecerá solo en español, más de igual manera se le dará la bienvenida a estudiantes aunque no hablen el idioma.

El curso visitará técnicas básicas de dibujo que se centran en la observación de espacios y objetos. Los estudiantes desarrollarán sus habilidades de composición, línea, sombreado, y diseño. Para esta clase no hay prerrequisitos.

¿Qué aprenderás en este taller?
1. Como mejorar tus habilidades a través de la conversación crítica, la práctica, y conceptos básicos del dibujo
2. Como identificar materiales de arte para tu propia práctica.
3. Como observar la luz, profundidad, y valores tonales a través del bodegón.
4. Como desarrollar tus habilidades de composición de la imagen.

Profesor habla Español. Class will be taught in both English and Spanish.

Basic Drawing/Dibujo Básico is an introductory bi-lingual course on the art of drawing. The course will review basic drawing techniques that focus on observation of spaces and objects. Students will develop their composition, line, shading, and design skills. There are no prerequisites.

What will you learn in this workshop?
1. To enhance drawing skills through critical observation, practice and working with basic drawing concepts
2. To identify what art materials to use for drawing practices
3. To learn how to observe light, depth, and value through still life

• Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership.

  • This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class.

  • You will receive a confirmation email containing a link to join the course via Zoom. The same link will be used each week.

  • In observance of Memorial Day, class will not be held on May 31. A make-up session for the class will take place on June 7.
  • • Strathmore Drawing Pad 14x17
  • • Medium Surface Strathmore 500 Charcoal 9x12, assorted tints
  • • Drawing pencils (Box) Staedtler HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 7B, 8B
  • • kneaded eraser
  • • Staedtler eraser
  • • Q tips
  • • 2” brush or similar size/Synthetic (Low's/Home Depot)
  • • Small plastic container for trash
  • • Ruler
  • • Mechanic pencil 7mm. (Dollar Store)
  • • Prismacolor Colored Pencils (box of 24 pencils)
  • • General’s Charcoal Pencils box of 4: Soft, Medium, Hard + White
  • • Tracing Paper Pad 9x12in.
  • • Strathmore Black Sharpie Ultra Fine Point

  • A Printer machine is required for this class (students will be asked to make photocopies of templates and preparatory drawing schemes sent every week by the instructor)
