How do you see the world around you? How can you translate inner visions to communicate visually? Learn how to control watercolor paint to illustrate for a variety of purposes.

  • This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class.
  • • 9x12 Canson watercolor pad (hot or cold press)
  • • Set of watercolor paints (16 pan colors preferred)
  • • Watercolor brush (#6 or #8 round preferred)
  • • Fine line black sharpie
  • • Pencils
  • • Erasers
  • • Colored pencils or watercolor pencils
  • • Option: hair dryer

Marie Elcin has been teaching in both the children and adult programs at Fleisher since 2007. She has a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design and a Master of Art Education from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. She is a practicing fiber artist with a focus on embroidery, surface design, and printmaking.
