Students will learn how to design, carve and print their own brilliant and weird ideas about windows into other worlds (literally). In this class, we will be designing 2 interactive prints that will fold into a set of greeting cards for students to give to friends and loved ones. Or liked ones. Or 'hey how's it goin' ones. Using cut-out thought bubbles, doors and windows that open to the inside of the card, we will explore layering images and changing meaning with context. Which is fancy speak for saying I'm gonna teach you how to use the tools and toss out a few ideas, but my main interest is encouraging YOU to find what it is you want to say, draw, and explore.
