Learn the basic theories, principals, and techniques to successfully draw the figure. With a focus on improving observational skills, the class will also build essential knowledge of drawing fundamentals through handouts, demonstrations, and lots of drawing from a live model. Benefit from plenty of individual instructor feedback, group discussions, and dialogue about your work in progress to help improve your drawing skills.

3. Drawing from multiple viewpoints
4. Composing multiple figures on the page
5. Discussing methods and materials

  • This is an in-person class which will take place in our building with strict social distancing protocols and a maximum of 6 students in the space. Students will be required to wear masks for the entire duration of the class.   • You are free to use any drawing materials you choose. The supply list is composed of suggested materials that reflect the instructor’s demonstrated techniques.

  • MIDWAY THROUGH THE TERM YOU WILL NEED THESE SUPPLIES
  • • Soft vine charcoal
  • • Charcoal paper pad
  • • Toned charcoal paper
  • • White chalk, or conte crayon
  • • Pastels
