Students will explore 2d and 3d ways to work with felt and embroidery, project ideas include: embroidered badge, mola, finger puppets, and stuffies.

  • This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class.

  • Note: Classes will not be held on Saturday, November 28, due to Thanksgiving weekend. The last week of classes will be on Saturday, December 5.
  • • About 6 sheets of 9x12 inch felt in assorted colors
  • • Sharp scissors
  • • 5 skeins of embroidery floss in assorted colors
  • • Embroidery needle

Marie Elcin has been teaching in both the children and adult programs at Fleisher since 2007. She has a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design and a Master of Art Education from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. She is a practicing fiber artist with a focus on embroidery, surface design, and printmaking.
