To assist you in preparing for this class, we have provided a link to the setup / test pages from the conference provider. If you have never used this conference service before please click on the link below so that your PC or device will be ready to participate in this class.

With the assistance of an adult, students will design, construct and paint an animal mask made by paper mache.

  • This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class.

  • Note: Classes will not be held on Saturday, November 28, due to Thanksgiving weekend. The last week of classes will be on Saturday, December 5.
  • • Paper (a few sheets of white 9x12" recommended)
  • • Pencil
  • • Eraser
  • • Crayons (markers or color pencils are fine too),
  • • A few (2-5) standard balloons
  • • A lot of newspaper or newsprint paper (the paper will need to be cut into roughly 2x6" strips and you will need to have enough to cover an entire inflated balloon multiple times as well as cover external features on the mask multiple times)
  • • Scissors
  • • Masking tape
  • • Acrylic paint (red, yellow, blue, white and black recommended)
  • • Paintbrushes (small and large)
  • • Paper plates
  • • Paper towels
  • • A water container/plastic cup and a large mixing bowl.
  • Paper mache mixture made in a large bowl and there are two options available, please pick the one that suites you best: Option 1: You will need a large bag of flour, or Option 2: You will need a large 1 gallon container of elmer's glue (can be white school glue or glue-all).
