Students will learn about and execute the basic fundamentals of graphic comic book art. There will be weekly lessons, discussions and projects that focus on creating mostly drawings and comic book works on paper. A fun class for beginners or experts.

  • This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class.
  • • Sketchbook or heavy weight paper (9x12" or larger, at least 24 sheets recommended)
  • • Pencils (basic #2 pencils or any are fine)
  • • Eraser
  • • Ruler
  • • Ink pens (I suggest black ink Micron pens - at least 3 different sizes -s/m/l, but any black ink pen is fine)
  • • Black Sharpie markers (fine tip and standard - black)
  • • Color pencils
  • • Markers (basic or advanced is fine)
  • • Watercolors (basic or advanced is fine)
  • • Small watercolor brush
  • • Paper towels and a container for water
