This unique class is led by our revered instructor, Louise Clement-Hoff, who has taught at Fleisher for over fifty years. Louise was honored by Fleisher’s Founder’s Award in 2015, in recognition of her profound contributions to art education, making the serious study of painting accessible to hundreds of parents and families.
The class focuses on the art of oil painting from still life and gives students the opportunity to improve their skills with plenty of individual feedback from Louise. The topics covered in the class are composition, color mixing, paint application, and the discovery of form. Students should be prepared for a structured process and rigorous approach. Painting experience is recommended for this class, and new students should expect a warm community of devoted long-time students..
