The cultural and social revolutions of the late 1960's took their roots in the cinema of the 1970's. We'll look at four comedies that reflect the changes of that pivotal decade in U.S. history, each possessing the ability to shock, surprise and evoke laughter. We will explore the careers of the film's collaborators, the visual mechanics of humor and discuss the parallels between the 1970's and our own moment in history.
