This class will briefly explore the history of ceramic doll making on the African continent and the many different ways that dolls are made from clay. Through this practice, you’ll also be introduced to ceramic hand-building techniques and surface decoration with glazes and traditional seashells and beads.

  • This Monday class is eight sessions in order to accommodate the two holidays that occur during the winter term: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20, and Presidents’ Day, February 17. The class will not be held on these days and there will not be no makeup sessions.
  • - You will need to purchase clay at the front desk. A bag of clay is $15. All glazes will be included.
