Want to understand the basics of hand building in clay and decoration techniques?
This class is an overview of the pinch, coil and slab techniques with minimum tools and use of studio equipment. You will be able to make functional dinnerware or various objects. Every week there will be new demonstrations to help you make your projects.


WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE
1. Learn about clay and tools
2. Basic hand building techniques: Pinch, Coil and Slab Building
3. Form and function
4. Glaze application and surface decoration techniques.

  • The studio fee is for the use of studio materials, glazing, and firing. You are required to purchase clay (available in school store) along with some additional supplies.
  • Basic pottery tool kit (Wire cutter, needle tool, potter’s rib and sponge)
