This class will provide you with an introduction to drawing from the model. Emphasis will be given to seeing and understanding proportion, gesture and light and shadow. You will learn to describe the direction of the light, and the complexion of the model. We will work with charcoal and then move to red and white chalks used in conjunction with colored paper. The instructor will demonstrate each new media as they are introduced. All levels of students will benefit from the stress on fundamentals of drawing the human figure.
