In this workshop you will learn how to make two book structures using only folded paper and glue! The Drum Leaf binding is a simple glued structure with decorative covers that is perfectly suited for thicker papers, and can easily be used make journals or collage work. The Window Book also consists of adhesive binding of folded papers, introducing mylar windows to the pages for the inclusion of treasures such as ticket stubs, stamps, smaller images and more into the book.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE

1. The use of basic tools for book binding such as a bone folder, PVA glue, and x-acto blade
2. How to use the book structure as an album for found objects
3. Precision in cutting, folding, and gluing
4. Basic finishing and aesthetic techniques to complete your handmade books
