Get started on screenprinting this summer in this immersive workshop. An easy and versatile technique, screenprinting allows you to quickly create multiples of an image for craft and fine art alike.

Bring your ideas in the form of black and white drawings, sketches, or high-contrast photographs. You’ll learn how to draw a film positive, transfer an image to the screen, mix colors, and use inks and additives to create finished prints. We’ll look at all our work at the end of the day to celebrate finished works and think about how to move your art practice to the next level.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE

1. Prepare images on screens using adhesive stencils, filler stencils, and photo stencils
2. Handle printmaking paper, mix colors, and curate and sign finished prints
3. Set up an efficient print station, print a clean edition, and work productively in a shared studio space
