Come to the Philadelphia Zoo and discover the many gifts of drawing animals from life in this four-day intensive workshop. You will experiment with a variety of dry media and techniques as you refine the practice of gesture drawing and sketching from life. You will learn to effectively identify and capture the essence of an animal, as well as discern the boney landmarks and comparative anatomy of a variety of animals - all in a friendly and upbeat environment!

Admission to the Zoo is included in the price of the workshop, but be advised that parking costs are not included.

  • FOR THE FIRST CLASS BRING THESE SUPPLIES:

  • • Vine charcoal *
  • • Gray, white conte crayon *
  • • One sheet of toned pastel paper (any medium to dark tone) *
  • • Soft-medium graphite pencil (HB, 4B or higher)*
  • • Color pencils or pastels (optional)
