First Steps to Drawing Continued

This course is a continuation of our popular First Steps to Drawing series. We will continue to explore basic drawing principles such as line quality, measuring negative space and proportions, gauging measurements using your pencil, picture plane and how to use a viewfinder while working from flat images, photographs, single objects and the still life.




Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership.

  • Fleisher will be closed on Monday May 28, to observe the Memorial Day holiday, the make-up session will be on June 18.
  • START THE TERM WITH THESE SUPPLIES:
  • • Drawing paper pad*
  • • Kneaded eraser*
  • • Mars Plastic or Pink Pearl eraser*
  • • Pencil sharpener*
  • • Graphite pencils, 1 each 2B and 4B*
  • • A Soft charcoal pencil*
  • • Compressed charcoal, soft (2 to 4 sticks)*
  • • Vine charcoal (small pack of sticks)*
  • • Ruler*
