The class will introduce you to a variety of technical processes, concepts, and design tools essential for understanding and working with fine metals. Learn about material sourcing and the cultural and historical aspects of jewelry and small-scale metals as a form of artistic expression. Some basic techniques that will be covered include sawing, filing, riveting, simple forming, texturing, stone setting, soldering, and finishing. By the end of the class, you will have designed and made several jewelry pieces of your very own!
