This class will provide you with an introduction to stone lithography. You will receive guidance in all basic aspects of the printmaking technique, including stone preparation, drawing, etching application, and press operation. Using a piece of limestone from Fleisher’s collection, you will print a small edition of your original drawing. By the end of the class, you will have gained an understanding of the history and cultural significance of the medium, as well as its underlying techniques.

Previous drawing experience is helpful, but not mandatory.
