Want to develop your painting style and increase your skill set? This class will explore several advanced painting techniques while focusing on a single life-size pose for the entire ten weeks. Learn to understand and use multiple painting surfaces, under paintings, glazing, and painting to enhance light. You can expect instructor demonstrations and plenty of individual instruction and feedback.

An understanding of painting fundamentals is strongly recommended.

  • • 18x24 inch or larger stretched canvas *
  • • Natural bristle oil brushes (flat #2, #4, #6, and #8) *
  • • Turpenoid *
  • • Oil Paints: Burnt Sienna, Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue *
  • • Additional paints (for later in the semester): Cadmium Green, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red (Dark, Medium), Cadmium Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Yellow Ochre *
