Darkroom, Open Studio

Adult Summer Open Studio | This program is completed

Darkroom Open Studio is for the intermediate to experienced photography student who needs extra time in the darkroom to develop film and print negatives. Participants must have technical proficiency, be capable of working independently, and agree to adhere to the rules of the studio. Note, that this is a monitored studio and not an instructed class.

Darkroom open studio hours have been extended to included Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 1:00 pm

Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership. The studio fee includes the use many supplies but students may need to bring or purchase additional items.

Alex Orgera

Alexandra Orgera is a photographer living and working in Philadelphia. After receiving her B.A. in Science and Humanities from Carnegie Mellon University, she pursued the study of photography through coursework at Universität der Künste, University of the Arts, and Project Basho, and in 2015, she co-founded The Halide Project, an organization dedicated to encouraging the practice of traditional and alternative process photography. Her work makes use of hand-made cameras and other experimental photographic techniques to explore the world in which we live.
