Explore the art of jewelry making and design in this fun four-week workshop. We'll look at necklace and pendant designs throughout history, their meaning, and a variety of popular styles. While learning basic metalsmithing techniques such as sawing filing, sanding, and forming, you'll have a chance to create a pendant of your own design from start to finish. We'll also explore a variety of materials, including copper, brass, sterling silver, and found objects.

What you will learn in this workshop?
1. How to make jump-rings and variations of chains toward chainmail connections of necklaces and pendants
2. Designing mobile parts of the necklace to lay correctly on the body form
2. Forming flat sheet metal to a 3-dimensional object or jewelry
3. Forging of thicker material into necklace parts
