Opportunities for you to show and sell your artwork are all around you, right here in your community! This workshop, led by local gallery owner Elissa Kara, will help you take the tangible next steps to prepare your artwork for the marketplace in a supportive, comfortable environment.
Do you have a cohesive body of work that is ready for the local market? Is it at the stage of work-in-progress, or is it a finished work? This workshop will help you answer these questions, and more, in a critique-based open discussion format. In addition, Kara will cover marketing strategies, pricing and help you refine details such as photography, logo, branding, web exposure, and even packaging—all geared to help you create a polished look– on an artist’s budget.

What will you learn in this workshop?
1. Students develop a better understanding of branding and packaging details, and their relationship to different forms of artwork
2. Discover artist resources that you can take advantage of, on a budget
3. Direction- figure out a clear direction for your work, as well as venues to approach
4. Feel more confident in your artistic skills
5. Gain a better understanding of the details that go into marketing your artwork, and the importance of these details from the point of view of a venue where you could potentially sell your work
