In this introductory workshop to the art of mosaics, you will learn how to make designs, safely break tiles using specialized tools, mix grout (cement), and create full mosaics. You will work on a personal project with a design of your own. At the end of this course, you will take home a self-made piece and the knowledge on how to make many more.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS WORKSHOP
1. Conceptualize and design your own mosaic piece from start to finish.
2. Learn how to safely use appropriate tools to break and cut tilling materials such as ceramic tile, glass, or mirror.
3. Learn to safely mix and apply grouting, colorant and cement.
4. Experiment with several mosaic application techniques to achieve desired effects and complete your design.
