Field Recording Sound Walk (one session)

Adult Workshop | This program is completed

This one day workshop will be an overview of Sound Art. Participants in the workshop will explore a range of listening techniques that will expand into a guided sound walk where we will learn basic recording techniques for field recording.

What you will learn:
1. Overview of sound art
2. Deep listening techniques
3. Field recording techniques

This class will meet in Fleisher's Digital lab with access through the 709 Catherine entrance (blue-grey door). The walk will proceed from there.

Jazmyn Crosby

Jazmyn Crosby is an interdisciplinary artist whose work investigates communication, technology and ecological resilience. Born and raised in New Mexico, Jazmyn lives in Philadelphia where she received her MFA from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. She got her BFA from the University of New Mexico. Jazmyn is an educator, an event facilitator, and musician. She is a founding member of Graft Gallery/Collective and is a current member of the Bio Materials Working Group and plays music under the name Glitter Vomit.
