This presentation was originally given in 2009 at the Miller Art Museum in conjunction with the exhibit DOOR PRIZE FOR PORTRAITURE. It provides an overview of world art history and specifically portraiture as it evolves. It offers insights and unfolds characteristics of selected artists with slides representing 25-30 artworks accompanying the narrative. I would add that Cheryl is a working artist, plein air painter and has hosted the Door Prize for portraiture for 17 years.
