American Revolutionary War patriots risked life and liberty in myriad ways. Not long after the war ended many direct descendants of these patriots chose the wilderness of Northeastern Wisconsin as their home or place of business. Did you know that the son of a patriot played a role in the discovery and growth of Baileys Harbor? Or that a cousin of President John Adams who was also the daughter of a patriot, is buried here and her grandson’s home still stands as a Door County historic site? Join us to learn more about the fight for independence and how the descendants of Revolutionary War patriots impacted our area from the 1800s to today. Presented by the Jean Nicolet Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
