Herb Gould, the author of Lambeau: The Epic Life of the Man Who Invented the Green Bay Packers, discusses the Packers founder, with special emphasis on his retirement in Door County. Gould, who has written about Lambeau in Door County Living Magazine, will cover Lambeau’s unique relationship with not only the Packer community, but also Bears founder George Halas, his great rival and business partner. A longtime Chicago Suns-Times sportswriter and University of Wisconsin alum (B.A., history), Gould lives in Sister Bay. He covers Door County League baseball for the Peninsula Pulse and is working on a book about Door County’s baseball history.
