089 New Thanksgiving Boot Camp

Preface: Green bean casserole and stuffing may be family staples, but we’d like to share additional ways to build on your traditional T-Day foods.  You can make all of these dishes ahead of time to get ready for the annual feast, or make to take to your host’s home.  Mushrooms, herbs and garlic combine for turkey pâté, spiked sweet potatoes (with no marshmallows), and cranberries to whip up into a flavorful cake.

Afterword:
 Then we’ll follow up with some fresh recipes for using the leftovers. You’ll be able to make food that can be eaten right away or be tucked into the freezer to pull out on a winter’s day. We have some special ways to put homemade broth into flavor-filled foods. Borscht anyone? Baked Tetrazzini? Vol au vent? Bring your favorite chef’s knife and be prepared to participate in making and tasting.  You’ll have some things to take home with you...We will provide containers.
